Harbinger's Sigil — Privacy Policy

CrashBytes ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Harbinger's Sigil mobile application for iOS and Android. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information across both platforms.

Information We Collect

Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We use Google Firebase Analytics on both iOS and Android to understand how players interact with the game. This includes:

  • Gameplay events and feature usage
  • App performance metrics
  • Device type and operating system version

Analytics data is collected in aggregate and does not personally identify you. You can opt out of analytics on iOS by limiting ad tracking in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can opt out via Settings > Google > Ads > "Delete advertising ID" (or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on older versions).

Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

We use Firebase Crashlytics on both iOS and Android to detect and fix app crashes. When a crash occurs, Crashlytics collects:

  • Device state at the time of the crash
  • Device model and OS version
  • Stack trace information

Crash reports do not contain personally identifiable information.

In-App Economy

In-app economy is soft-currency only; no real-money transactions. Harbinger's Sigil does not offer real-money in-app purchases, and we do not collect, process, or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • Location data
  • Contacts or address book
  • Photos, camera, or microphone access
  • Health or fitness data
  • Browsing history
  • Advertising identifiers (we do not serve ads)
  • Account or login information (no accounts required)

The Android app declares no runtime permissions in its manifest, and the iOS app requests no sensitive permissions.

Data Storage and Security

Game progress is stored locally on your device only. We do not store any player data on our servers. Analytics and crash data are stored on Google Firebase servers and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not require any account or login.

Third-Party Services

  • Apple — App Store distribution (iOS)
  • Google (Google Play Services) — Google Play distribution (Android)
  • Google Firebase — Analytics and Crashlytics (iOS and Android)

Your Rights

You can:

  • Play the game without any data leaving your device beyond analytics
  • Delete the app to remove all local data
  • Opt out of analytics on iOS via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
  • Opt out of analytics on Android via Settings > Google > Ads > "Delete advertising ID"
  • Request deletion of analytics data by contacting us

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
