SporeGuard — Privacy Policy

CrashBytes ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SporeGuard mobile application. SporeGuard is available on both the Apple App Store (iOS) and the Google Play Store (Android). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information across both platforms.

Information We Collect

Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We use Google Firebase Analytics on both iOS and Android to understand how players interact with the game. This includes:

  • Gameplay events (games started, waves completed, towers placed)
  • Feature usage (store visits, power-up usage)
  • App performance metrics
  • Device type and operating system version

Analytics data is collected in aggregate and does not personally identify you. You can opt out of analytics by limiting ad tracking in your iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking, or on Android Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix app crashes. When a crash occurs, Crashlytics collects:

  • Device state at the time of the crash
  • Device model and OS version
  • Stack trace information

Crash reports do not contain personally identifiable information.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play Billing), depending on your platform. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • Location data
  • Contacts or address book
  • Photos, camera, or microphone access
  • Health or fitness data
  • Browsing history
  • Advertising identifiers (we do not serve ads)
  • Account or login information (no accounts required)

Data Storage and Security

Game progress is stored locally on your device only. We do not store any player data on our servers. Analytics and crash data are stored on Google Firebase servers and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

SporeGuard is rated 9+ and is suitable for most ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not require any account or login.

  • Google (Google Play Services, Google Play Billing) — Play Store distribution and purchases on Android
  • Google Firebase — Analytics and Crashlytics (iOS and Android)

Your Rights

You can:

  • Play the game without any data leaving your device beyond analytics
  • Delete the app to remove all local data
  • Opt out of analytics via iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking, or Android Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization
  • Request deletion of analytics data by contacting us

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
